We are all more grateful than we realize—it’s just that many of us haven’t considered the notion of gratitude at all. Yet, gratitude is essential to our happiness and health.
Studies show a regular gratitude practice has significant positive effects on our physical, spiritual, and mental well-being. Not only are grateful people more hopeful, but they also sleep better and longer, experience greater self-esteem and greater empathy, and tend to treat others (and themselves!) with greater kindness. Gratitude inspires us to be better.
Join us at the October Community Café for great food and happy conversation as we explore the basics of cultivating gratitude in our daily lives. Plus, practitioner Giselle Pellikan will share a few simple, fun, and easy-to-use tools.
About the Community Café: Every 4th Sunday, instead of our standard celebration service, we get together for a tasty potluck and explore topics of interest to our CSL Denver family. The Community Café is a monthly happening! Everyone is invited, so please come in person, bring a friend and a dish to share and join us at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, October 26. The Café is free, and love offerings are always welcome.

Free parking in the two lots south of the building (lots are separated by a house). Look for signs that read: “Grant Avenue Community Center Parking.” Enter the building through the south side door.
CURIOSITY CORNER!
Our Curiosity Corner has been a great success since we started it. We have some new items, and will have more next week. We have set up a Bargain Basement table where everything on that table is $1.00. We have gently used & new books, oracle and tarot cards, CDs and DVDs for sale, along with assorted spiritual and other treasures. Cash / Check and Carry!
Song Circle with Gary Lynn Floyd
Our good friend and musician, Gary Lynn Floyd will be in Denver and holding a Song Circle at Mile Hi Church on Friday evening, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. in their Community Center.
He does a really great job with his Song Circles.
So, if you feel like singing some chants and songs with Gary and others, please head over to Mile Hi church that evening.
